US PRIVACY LAW FIRST · NOT TRANSLATED FROM GDPR

Nothing fires
before visitors say Yes.

Tracking scripts on your site — analytics, ad pixels, chat widgets, screen recorders — normally start the moment someone lands. Consentinel holds them until the visitor chooses. Then it checks your site in a real browser and shows you what actually happened, with the date on it.

The instant check reads your homepage as your server sends it. One page, no account, no browser needed. The deeper check — a real browser visiting up to 100 of your pages twice, once saying no to cookies and once saying yes — runs with a free account, once you've confirmed the domain is yours.

A real example

Wix's Own Cookie Banner let a screen recorder run — with Marketing and Functional both switched off.

On a client's live site, with their permission, we ran the same page twice: same browser, same tab, cache cleared both times. The only difference was Consentinel.

This is what we could see. Browsers hide some cookies from any tool, so the real numbers may be higher. Figures taken from browser developer tools, not from the page's own script.

That last row is the limit on Wix, and no tool of this kind can change it — not ours, not theirs. We show you the result either way.

Why other tools miss this

Your Consent App Said Youe Website was Clean. It was reading a list.

Most consent tools identify trackers by matching them against a catalog of known vendors. If a tracker is not on the list, as far as the tool is concerned, it doesn't exist.

Our own website was running a screen recorder — the kind of script that captures what a visitor types, where they move their mouse, and how far they scroll. Exactly the kind of interception CIPA claims are based on. A passive cookie banner does nothing about it, and most consent apps built for GDPR do not recognize custom scripts like these.

That gap is why we built a real website crawler instead of a catalog.

Consentinel provides software and documentation, not legal advice. Nothing here creates an attorney-client relationship or guarantees compliance.

01

Catalog-Based Scanner

Reads a list

Checks for companies, vendors and trackers it already knows. Misses anything new, renamed, or added by your host or platform.

02

Consentinel Crawl

Watches the page

A real browser, running automatically, visits your website and reads what a visitor's browser actually receives — then compares what happens when cookies are refused against when they're accepted.

03

Documentation

Dated

Records and preserves what your consent banner and tracker settings were, what each visitor chose, and when — in a form nobody can quietly rewrite.

How it works

Hold. Watch. Record.

Three things, in order: Hold the trackers we can hold, Watch what happens, and Keep a Record you can hand to someone.

Measured on real websites

Every number here came from a real website, on a real date.

Most privacy tools show you a wall of customer logos. We don't have 1.5 million customers. What we have is a handful of numbers you can check — and a page that tells you where we fall short.

A screen-recording script ran 972 times on our own website — and not once before the visitor agreed. Checked across 173 pages.

A client's Wix site was leaking five tracking signals before visitors agreed to anything. After Consentinel: none.

On the 972/That same scan still came backexposed

Seven trackers were still running before consent — fonts pulled in by style files, and a beacon added by our own hosting provider. Nothing any tool of this kind can stop, ours included. We show the failing result next to the good number, because the whole product is telling you what is actually there.

* One setting in the plugin has to be switched on for this result. It's off when you install it. We show you how to check.

These are the trackers we found. There may be more. Browsers hide some cookies from every tool including ours, tracking that happens server-to-server never touches a browser at all, and the deeper we look the more we find. What we can and can't block.

The part nobody else publishes

Every consent tool has a point where it stops working.
We're the only one that publishes ours.

Whether a tracker can be blocked isn't really about the consent tool. It's about where your website platform lets that tool's code run — and, on WordPress, how each plugin chooses to add its tag. Any vendor telling you they block everything, everywhere, is describing a product that doesn't exist.

Here are three of the seven places we stop. The full list is one click away, and it's the page we're proudest of.

A limit is something you can act on

What we can't block from inside your page, you can often remove at its source — host the font yourself, switch the script off at your CDN, scope down the server-side tracking you set up. You just have to know it's there. We tell you which ones are running, on which pages, and when we saw them. What you do about each one is your call — but at least it's a call you get to make.

We'd rather tell you where we stop than sell you past it. Ask any other consent tool for this page.

For agencies

One dashboard. Every client site. One invoice.

Twenty-five client sites on the middle of the hosted consent market — after the partner discount, not before — runs about $280 a month. Consentinel Agency is $99.

Pricing

Priced for people who look after more than one website.

The protection isn't the paid part. Holding trackers until consent, honoring “don't sell my data” browser settings, Google's consent setting, and your own per-tracker rules are all full strength on the free plan. What you pay for is more sites, deeper checks and the paperwork.

Closes December 31, 2026. Join before then and keep your price for as long as you stay — Agency at $99/month, or Scale at $299/month (5 places). Prices go up in January for anyone who joins after.

Works on

WordPressWixShopifySquarespaceAny site

One line of code works anywhere. On WordPress our plugin does more — it stops tracking scripts on the server, before the page is sent, which no browser-based tool can do. What we can block on your platform is spelled out per platform, including where we can't.
